Jamshed Khan is VP-head of Investments Technology and Quantitative Services at RiverSource Investments (an Ameriprise Financial company; formerly American Express Financial Advisors) in Boston. 

Jamshed is responsible for providing the leadership in the areas of analytics, quantitative research and services, data management and technology services for the investment management arm of the company.

Prior to joining American Express, he was senior vice president of investment technology at Zurich Scudder/Deutsche Bank.

Throughout his 20 years long career in the financial industry, Jamshed has worked in various leadership roles in technology and quantitative areas of investment management business.  He has led R&D and centers of excellence for implementing best practices in all aspects of financial engineering and developing processes and tools for portfolio management, hedge funds, research and trading.  He has worked at some of the leading financial services firms like Fidelity Investments, Putnam Investments, Deutsche Bank, Wellington Management Company and GMO.  He also had a two year stint as a senior management consultant with several clients including U.S Department of Treasury.

Jamshed holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Physics from University of Massachusetts at Boston and Master of Science degree in Nuclear Physics from University of Karachi, Pakistan.
