Mario Moeira is currently Sr Director for Agile and CM at Computer Associates (CA) where he provides company-wide leadership in the areas of Agile and Configuration Management (CM) to help transform product development and increase innovation. Also provide consultation for product
direction, ALM, and Governance.
Mario is also an Author and Columnist:
- Leading edge Columnist and Writer - published over 40 articles in the Agile Journal and CM Journal on the latest in Agile, CM, Release Engineering, Release Mgt, IT Governance, and practices.
- Author of "Software Configuration Management Implementation Roadmap" published in 2004 via Wiley Publishing
- Author of "SCM Tool Evaluation Guide" self published in 2000
- Author of upcoming book entitled "Adapting CM for Agile Teams" via Wiley Publishing, tentative release date of Fall 2009
Prior to CA, Mario was Vice President, Architecture & Methods at Fidelity Investments. At Fidelity, Mario was an innovative IT leader who builds relationships and provides progressive leadership in the Product Mgt, Methodology, Infrastructure, Project Mgt, SCM, and IT Governance areas. Mario grew a SCM consulting business from 0 products under CM to over 100. Head of System Admininstration for Development and Test systems including server consolidation. Improved the company methodology including strong PM practices and promoted adoption from having 200 hits a month to the methodology website to over 30,000 hits a month. Established and deployed an IT Governance architecture practice from scratch to where all business units are assessing standards and reducing cost. Also established the first Agile Coaching Forum bringing together Agilists for the first time within my company to consider and implement new lean methods.
